Victor Sanchez warned the 12-year-old girl not to cross him, authorities said.
Sanchez, a 24-year-old Rio Rancho resident, told the runaway girl to keep their sexual relationship a secret. He boasted of his gang ties and told the girl his friends already "took care of" another girl who discussed having sex with Sanchez, according to a Sandoval County arrest warrant.
It was his last comment made while pressuring her to stay quiet that left the 12-year-old fearing for her safety, authorities said.
