BERNALILLO Sandoval County Clerk Victoria Dunlap said she had to leave the emergency county commissioner's meeting yesterday because she was being degraded.

"This happens to me all the time when I go to these meetings," Dunlap said. "They think we're in the court process. No one should have to listen to that. That's why I left."

Dunlap insisted in an interview Monday night that she was just doing her job when she issued 68 same-sex marriage licenses last Friday, the event that prompted commissioners to call the meeting Monday.
