Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream Inc. scooped up the final piece of the U.S. Haagen-Dazs ice cream business on Wednesday, Feb. 18, with the purchase of General Mills Inc.'s Haagen-Dazs shops in the U.S.

Terms were not disclosed and General Mills and Dreyer's spokeswomen declined to reveal sales figures for the shops. In a statement, Oakland, Calif.-based Dreyer's said the financial impact of the purchase was immaterial.

"The one piece that we did not have was the franchise shops business," said Dreyer's spokeswoman, Dori Sera Bailey.

The Haagen-Dazs Shoppe Co.is based in Minneapolis. The 236-parlor chain joins what Dreyer's …
