A few minutes before midnight on November 29, 2003, a man knocked on the door of a residence in Madison County, Mississippi, and asked the homeowner if her fiance was there. When she said he was not, and that only she and her daughter were in the house, the man forced his way inside, demanded money and began attacking her.
