PAVIA-RAUCHMAN: Curses on the winter driving conditions we had, because with better roads I might have considered putting some miles on and spending more time behind the wheel. This is a fun, great car to drive. I kept traction control fully activated- the conditions demanded it. And I would never turn it off completely; too chicken. But I like that the Vette has a "competitive mode'' where the TC can be set to allow generous wheelspin but not deactivated. I guess we're all looking forward to the next version, but I'd get back behind the wheel of this any day.
It has comfortable, nicely bolstered seating, an incredible Bose sound system, just the right amount of hp and torque (get much above these figures and what exactly are you trying to prove? And who are you trying to prove it to, anyway?) and really fine handling characteristics all packaged in a sleek-looking body.
