WASHINGTON -- Agriculture Secretary ANN VENEMAN was quoted in a news report as telling a luncheon of agribusiness lobbyists Thursday that she does not "anticipate that we have a significant issue in this country" related to mad cow disease. However, an international panel of experts commissioned by the USDA reported Wednesday that more cases of mad cow disease are likely to exist in U.S. cattle, following the discovery in December of the nation's first known case of the disease.
