What with the blanket coverage of the fallout from the Hutton Report, the column-inch-obsessed Trevor Beattie, the creative supremo at TBWA\London, has been suffering from a severe case of lack of limelight recently.
Never one to be sidelined, Beattie last week saw his opportunity to jump on the Hutton bandwagon - for a cool pounds 10,000. His opportunity came during a party held by Alastair Campbell to launch his involvement in the Michelob Ultra London Triathlon.
The party, at the Park Lane Hilton, included an auction to raise money for leukaemia research. Beattie, in a fit of altruism, stumped up pounds 10,000 for Campbell's signed copy of the report.
