Chicago show debuts planned for two key cars
Of the 13 world introductions planned for the upcoming Chicago Auto Show, it's not surprising that two of Detroit's automakers will focus on new upscale sedans. Chicago's show is tilted to the buying public, and spiffy sedans are as bread-and-butter as you can get.
Leading the charge is the Mercury Montego, a more sophisticated version of the Ford Five Hundred that debuted in production trim at the Detroit show. Ford's Swedish subsidiary, Volvo, contributed chassis and safety stuff from its S80, V70 and XC90 to both the Five Hundred and the Montego.
