At the Naias, breakthrough designs and retro styling were all the rage. Some hit the nail right on the head while others just smashed their fingers.

The best car at Detroit was the Pontiac Solstice. The Ford Mustang-with retro styling that will appeal only to die-hard fans-was the real letdown. Ford should stop looking into its past to find good designs.
