The Nasdaq closed 0.15% lower Monday on lighter volume after a seesaw session, extending its downtrend for five days. The big-cap Nasdaq 100 shed 0.3%.
ICU Medical sank 4.51 to 33.07, slicing through its 50-day moving average on its biggest turnover this year. The maker of disposable medical devices earned 48 cents a share in the fourth quarter, up 26% from last year and 1 cent above views. Analysts see slower first-quarter profit growth. Leerink Swann cut ICU to market perform from outperform.
Radware fell 4.92 to 27.25 on six times normal trade, closing below its 50-day trend line for the first time in more than two months. The Israeli networking gear maker met views with third-quarter earnings of 13 cents a share vs. last year's 3 cents. It sees first-quarter profit of 14 cents, in line with Street estimates. But rival F5 Networks last month raised its guidance up to double forecasts, analysts said.
