2004 FEB 5 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Redasoft Corp. has donated $100,000 worth of licenses of its Visual Cloning software to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to facilitate cystic fibrosis (CF) research.
"We are very grateful to Redasoft for this unique and valuable donation. We trust this software will bring value to CF scientists as they strive toward better therapies and a cure for CF," said Robert J. Beall, PhD, president and chief executive officer of the CF Foundation.
This $100,000 donation is being made in honor of 3-year-old Taylor Ashley Joron of Pittsburgh who was recently diagnosed with CF. Daughter of Todd and Alison Joron, Taylor is cared for at the Antonio J. and Janet Palumbo CF center at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
"When we learned about Taylor's diagnosis, we were inspired to help CF researchers worldwide," said Daniel Reda, president and chief executive officer of Redasoft.
"Redasoft's Visual Cloning Software is very effective at accelerating day-to- day molecular cloning experiments and is able to easily assist researchers who are studying the molecular and genetic aspects of CF."
