Digging in for a slugfest at the North American International Auto Show
From one spot on the floor of Detroit's Cobo Hall, the significance of the 2004 North American International Auto Show is evident. The aisle between the Chrysler/Dodge stands and the Nissan stand could be lined with barbed wire and guard towers, the juxtaposition casting those two automakers as the front lines in the battle for market share between the domestic and import brands.
