The 400-hp engine is universal- ly praised by fans of the new Corvette C6, but the interior and styling for most is not worthy of a successor.

The '05 Corvette is really a C5.3. As a C5 owner, the C6 is a mild evolution, but not the design breakthrough that would send me to a dealer.

Fred Olds, Grosse Pointe Park, Mich.

It is indeed a worthy successor because it exhibits the performance, styling, heritage, bang for the buck and the technology we've come to expect.

Randy Anderson, Germantown, Wis.

The new Vette just doesn't cut it. Its styling is mundane and the interior looks low-budget, just like before.

George Costello, Kansas City, Mo.
