2004 Mercedes-Benz SL600

Date in fleet: Nov. 26-Dec. 3 As-tested price: $136,870 Powertrain: 5.5-liter supercharged V8; rwd, five-speed automatic Output: 493 hp @ 5000 rpm, 590 lb-ft @ 1800-3500 rpm Curb weight: 4426 pounds MPG (EPA combined/AW observed): 15.15/ 12.27

RAYNAL: Somebody nabbed the keys to the Nissan Altima coupe I was supposed to drive for the night, so I got stuck in the Kia Spectra. What a huge disappointment. Or so I thought. In hindsight, I'm glad I got "stuck'' in this Kia, because I learned a lot. For starters, 138 hp is enough to have

MORRISON: What a wonderful car. Stunning looks, especially the front and rear views, and a ball to put through a workout. With this powertrain and inherent "Audiness it reminds me of the S4 but up a notch. The chassis is incredibly rigid, the interior is beautiful and the cockpit features one of

HART: Few other cars I've driven give you the kind of rush you get from stepping down hard on the Viper's throttle. The thrust is impressive as is the rush of sound, from the exhaust and the wind. Steering is quick, and if there are any imperfections in the road they are immediately relayed to you
