We are very excited about this issue because to our knowledge, it is the first and only compilation of its kind! The theme of this particular collation of articles is lesbians and lesbianism in Thailand, and the fact that there is only one lesbian organization in the whole of Thailand should give one a picture of just how important this project is for Thailand and its women.
The picture on the cover was taken by Somkid Chaijitvanit. It is of Aor and Grimm, a Thai lesbian couple who teach us in their own words that "the heart has no gender." Learn more about them on page 49.
It is noteworthy to point out, simply because it is a diversion from the past, that we decided to present this issue's articles, which start from the mid-1990s, in chronological order by the year each came out (no pun intended!), as opposed to by relevance and flow of topic.
