If the Duesenberg name is destined to appear on a car in the 21st century, Dave Hartje needs some help to make it happen.

Hartje, president of Duesenberg Motors Inc., had hoped to have an all-new Duesenberg on sale by now, or at the very least, in prototype form making the concours and auto show rounds. Instead, a deal with California-based Metalcrafters to produce the car has fallen through. Now Hartje says it's time to move on.

"I'm looking for somebody who would take the Duesenberg name and produce a new car, or continue to produce the reproduction cars,'' says Hartje, whose Wisconsin-based company stopped building ...
