WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. New Mexico basketball coach Ritchie McKay finds himself in an odd position this weekend and one he isn't likely to experience again soon.

His program hasn't won a road game in its past 18 attempts, dating to 2002, but as long as the Lobos put up a good fight here Saturday against No. 6 Wake Forest, fans probably won't mind much, just this once, if the Lobos come home losers.

After all, the streak is likely to end soon enough because the Lobos (7-3) are suddenly a much-improved team, having won five home games in a row.
