It might have seemed unthinkable even a year ago, but according to the most recent Market Watch Report from Jon Peddie Research, Intel has overtaken traditional market leaders Nvidia and ATI as the leading provider of graphics devices (see accompanying chart). Intel ships integrated graphics chipsets (IGCs), a combination of graphics and core logic to control the memory.
