Intended as an alternative replacement pot for Vox/Cry-Baby-style wah pedals, the North Star Audio Pro Pot ($25 retail, $21 street) comes complete with a pinion gear and large mounting washers. While most Vox/CryBaby-style walls use 100[ohm] pots with special resistance tapers that concentrate most of the wahs "action" into the middle range of the pedal's travel, the Pro Pot features a 200k [ohm] linear-taper to provide smoother, more gradual, and better-balanced pedal response. Unlike most wah pots, the Pro Pot's shaft extends through the rear cover for added support, and its robber dust cap can be easily removed so you can spray pot cleaner into its large cleaning port.
