The most controversial finish to a NASCAR season kept Travis Kvapil in limbo for 10 minutes after the Craftsman Truck Series finale at Homestead. Kvapil didn't start celebrating until officials certified the results.

Kvapil, a one-race winner, took the title by a mere nine points. He knew his seventh-place finish was enough, but wasn't sure if title hopeful Ted Musgrave would be dock-ed for jumping a late restart. When Musgrave was kicked back to 13th, the issue was settled.
