GRITZINGER: This is a really, really, really good car. That it is a Cadillac makes it all the more amazing.
What makes it so good? I'd point to three keys: superb Northstar drivetrain; the solid chassis where everything seems pretty well screwed together and able to hold the road with the best of them (magnetic ride control works no matter what vehicle it's on); and cool stuff like the huge sunroof, well-appointed interior, projector-beam headlights and LED taillights.
However, the car lacks some of niceties you'd expect from its sticker, like a doorsill plate. The step-in is still an inch or so too high, and too many simple functions are buried in the navigation system screen.
