Former state attorney general and gubernatorial hopeful Jim Mattox has become a major shareholder in a chain of storefront legal service clinics in San Antonio and Houston that will bear his name.

Jim Mattox & Associates, The People's Law Firm, opened two weeks ago in San Antonio. Formerly known as Cannon Lawyers, the firm will have offices on Callaghan Road, Southeast Military Drive and Perrin-Beitel Road in San Antonio as well as six offices in Houston.
