FLOYD: There's a lot new here, much more than the goofy name change, though you'd never guess it from the same old-looking skin. The interior is a definite upgrade from the Windstar. That third-row seat is neat, easy to operate, and I really like the tailgating seat option. I also like the center console controls. But it's weird that there is no chrome inside, except around the gauges. The Freestar has nice pickup, the six seems to be a good fit, and it's not loud and whiny. It's also a solid handler. For families looking for a domestic minivan, the Freestar should be a worthy competitor, a safe, logical choice.
BLAHNIK: Quite frankly, I was disappointed. As the Windstar replacement, I thought this was going to be more significant. I did think the ride was nice; it felt smooth and effortless. And I had no problems ...
