Nov. 21 was the deadline for Hillary Clinton to put her name on the New Hampshire Democratic primary ballot.
She didn't do it. Then again, deadlines are for the rest of us.
Superstars like the junior senator from New York are less bound by such things.
With nine White House hopefuls struggling to break out of the pack, Clinton remains a much talked about alternative.
Some analysts think the nomination will be hers when she wants it -- now or in 2008.
"She has nearly 100% name ID, she can raise money very quickly, and she would bring an excitement that most of the other candidates don't have," said Jack Pitney, professor of government at Claremont McKenna College in California.
