Mislabeling Hard On Stomach

That sour-grapes photograph of Ted Kennedy and his Democratic colleagues (Issues & Insights, Wednesday) was hard enough to digest.

But what really turned my stomach was the description in the caption to Sen. Tom Daschle as the Senate majority leader. It was almost as bad as waking up on Nov. 8, 2000, mistakenly believing the news reports that Al Gore won the election.

Thankfully, both of those nightmares are over. Soon Daschle will be lucky if he holds his own seat, let alone retake the Senate.

Regarding your suggestion in "Tea Party Time" (Editorial, Nov. 21) that the best response to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court's absurd ruling on homosexual "marriage" is for the governor to simply ignore it because "The court can't do much of anything if the governor refuses to act, since it relies on the executive branch for enforcement of its orders. . . .
