VeraSun Energy Corporation recently announced the opening of a 100-million-gallon-per-year, dry-grind ethanol plant in Aurora, SD, which was initially expected to open in March 2004.

According to VeraSun, the "state-of-the-art" facility, designed to "lower the energy use and production costs associated with ethanol production," is expected to process more than 35 million bushels of corn each year.
