After suffering a stroke at the age of 24 and being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma at the age of 25, Nancy's life has been anything but normal. After several long hospital stays and intensive treatment for cancer, Nancy underwent chemotherapy, radiation and eventually a stem cell transplant.
Following chemotherapy, Nancy was told she was menopausal and told by fertility experts that she would not be able to have children. In 2001, Nancy thought her luck was changing and gave birth to her first "miracle" child, Kayla. Earlier this year, Nancy and her husband, Michael were surprised to learn that she was pregnant again, but there were complications.
