2003 DEC 4 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- iCAD, Inc., (ICAD), which designs, develops, and markets computer aided detection (CAD) imaging technology and systems for the early detection of breast cancer, and Merry X-Ray Corp., a distributor of radiology equipment and products, announced the signing of a distribution agreement that authorizes 38 Merry X-Ray branch offices in the U.S to market, sell, and support iCAD's newly U.S. Food and Drug Adminstration (FDA)-approved iQ tabletop CAD system.
Merry X-Ray has been serving the hospital, clinic, and private practice community with medical imaging products and services for 58 years. Under the terms of this agreement, Merry X-Ray's sales personnel will concentrate on selling the iCAD iQ, which has been designed by iCAD specifically for the large population of mammography clinics that perform less than 20 mammography screening procedures per day.
