Attempted punitive measures against Cheyenne High School's football team aren't solely about a post-game brawl, Principal Ronan Matthew said.
He believes it also is about reprisals and the politics of the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association.
Matthew suspects that the high school sports authority is using the situation to even a personal score with him.
"It certainly seems to be payback time," Matthew said. "And I am troubled by that."
