MORRISON: I once said I would sell my soul to the devil for a 911 Turbo. I'd like to renegotiate for a GT3. This is the real deal, and if the price seems crazy, rest assured it is worth every penny. There's ludicrous speed on tap here, and the entire package is so raw, tight and perfect that you easily live with the lack of sound-deadening, the vertebrae-rattling ride and the noisy ceramic brakes. And the lack of stability and traction control just means you actually have to drive well. There's lift-throttle oversteer, power oversteer and Schumacher-fast throttle response to bite you if you get out of hand. If you still don't believe the 911 is the world's best car, try this: Spool up the boxer six, drop the clutch, crack triple digits, then clamp on the binders back to normal speed. I didn't time it (sorry, I was trying to stay alive), but it happens in about as much time as it takes to exclaim, "Holy sh**!'' As my grandfather commented, "This is scary fast.'' Yes, it is, but scary in a good way. Sell my soul? Not only that, I'd sell every one of yours, too.
