Previously served by stations based in Brighton, residents of Worthing, Littlehampton and Shoreham in Sussex finally got their own radio station in May when Splash FM was launched.

A wholly independent station, with a target audience of 35-54 and a TSA of 161,000, the station has had a dream start.

Simon Osborne--who is programme controller and breakfast DJ as well as head of music--says "We have had a phenomenal start. We are selling the full nine minutes of advertising an hour that we have set as the limit, and most of it is taken up by local businesses."
