Opponents of a proposed South Valley Wal-Mart say they are considering taking the battle to state District Court after losing an appeal before the Albuquerque City Council.

The group of 30 South Valley residents will regroup and consider its next move, said Mary Beath, a spokeswoman for the group.

One option is to seek a court injunction, she said.

"We might. We haven't decided yet. We're keeping all of our options open. That's all I can say at this point," Beath said after Monday night's council meeting.
