Hot chocolate is good for snuggling up at home during a cold and long winter, but it might also provide consumers with a healthy dose of antioxidants. Antioxidants are believed to help fight off diseases such as cancer.

A new study by researchers from Cornell University in Geneva, NY showed that hot chocolate contained more antioxidants per cup than red wine or tea -- which have become famous for their potential health benefits. The result is not totally surprising, since earlier scientific studies have shown high antioxidant levels in certain types of chocolate.
