Clare Dove, the group ad director of IPC Southbank, is joining Mirror Group Newspapers as its ad director.

She takes on the ad sales operation for the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and The People, replacing Neil Hurman, who left in August after three years with the company. Hurman joined from Leagas Delaney, where he was the media director.

Dove will report to Ellis Watson, the general manager of MGN, who has been overseeing ad sales since Hurman's departure.

Her appointment concludes a complete overhaul of MGN's national newspaper titles instigated by the Trinity Mirror chief executive, Sly Bailey. Bailey worked with Dove during her tenure as the chief executive of IPC.
