The Beauty Of A Letter . . .

I must compliment you on publishing "Fully Commit To Terror War" (Letters, Monday). The writer states a few obvious facts that are grossly ignored by the PC crowd, facts that I fear will be the destruction of us all if we continue down the current path. My compliments to both you and the letter writer.

Gailand L. Kiltz, Pinellas Park, Fla.

. . . Is In The Eye Of The Reader

I have become accustomed to your radical and prejudiced opinion regarding Arab and Muslim issues. Yet you hit a new low in publishing "Fully Commit To Terror War."

The writer calls for "removing" noncitizen Muslims and implies the rest are traitors. He calls for war on the Islamic world of more than a billion people. This is not only prejudice and bigotry in the extreme, it reflects ignorance of history and facts. The emotionally hypercharged like the writer will only bring more terrorism, war and destruction. Perhaps that's their objective, believing our might will make things right.

This country should not allow the likes of this letter to be published. I do not think this is free speech; it is sedition and hate talk. I don't believe you would publish a similar letter if the words "Muslim" or "Islam" were replaced by another religion. I believe you are irresponsible in printing such a letter and you owe an apology to your Muslim readers.
