HART: How disappointing to get in this and see that the Mark Levinson stereo option wasn't ticked on the order form. One of my favorite things in any Lexus is that killer sound system. The replacement version in this car sounded terrible. I couldn't get the correct levels despite fiddling with the controls for some time.
Regardless, this ute sets the standard for its class, and it is a fine ride, comfortable and quiet. But at $43 large, you've got to really, really like it. And, if you added some of the bigger options, like the Levinson sound system, well, I'd guess you could eclipse the $50,000 barrier, or come darn close. This one did have the power liftgate, but I couldn't get it to operate via the key fob.
