Awesome, but no Enzo
While the new Carrera GT is an awesome machine, comparing it to the Enzo, as you do on your cover ("Look Out Enzo! Is This Porsche the Most Fun Supercar Ever?), is misleading.
Your article states the GT does straight-line 0 to 100 mph in seven seconds. The Enzo does straight-line 0 to 100 mph back to 0 in 10.9 seconds. And that is before we begin to discuss handling. Simply put, the Enzo defies all comparison and is the most awesome production (albeit limited) car one can drive in the States.

Porsche road racer reviews
Mark Vaughn-and Porsche-nailed it with "Racing's Loss Is Our Gain'' (Cover Story, Oct. 20). The Carrera GT's monocoque weighs 220 pounds: The lead engineer should get a gold medal. With performance numbers close to motorcycle acceleration, I can't wait to see how fast the GT does the quarter-mile. As for the driving problems of auto journalists, this is nothing new. When the Ferrari F40 came out, the foreign press crashed several of them. Still, I would have loved to hear the excuse of how the engine hit 14,500 rpm in second gear, causing its exploding demise.
