Latvia's largest oil terminal, Ventspils Nafta (VN), has been hit by a fresh management shake-up, amid continuing uncertainty over crude export volumes.

VN president Janis Adamsons and his deputy, Ritvars Priekalns, will resign on 13 September. The terminal says the two men are resigning for "personal reasons". But industry sources believe the shake-up to be linked to dissatisfaction from terminal shareholders that rail shipments of crude have been redirected to other destinations since August.

This has happened because of the high tariffs charged by VN for transportation and loading operations, according to Russian oil company Tatneft, a key exporter …
