Japanese company picks Chesco as 1st U.S. site

A Japanese chemical company is building a small laboratory and sales office in Chester County.

Daicel (USA) Inc. of Los Angeles will put its North American operations for its separations column business in 7,000 square feet of space in the Whiteland Business Park, West Whiteland.

The operation, Chiral Technologies Inc., will act as the testing laboratory for Chiral's line of high-performance liquid chromatography separation products, which pharmaceutical and bio-technology companies can use to separate chemicals.
