All these years, my father's edict, "You catch 'em, you clean 'em," has applied to everyone except his "darling daughters," as he so sweetly calls us. He's always cleaned our catch (not that ours was a whole lot to deal with), but not anyone else's.
This weekend the time came for payback.
He caught the fish (oh, yes, and it was a good one. A big ole good'un, as he would say) and deposited it and another nice-size fish in the oversize basket anchored in the water beside the pier.
