Now that it's cold out, I can't air-dry my hair, but my stylist told me not to blow-dry it every day because I'll damage it. What should I do?
A: Unless you work at a construction site, it is probably unnecessary for you to wash and blow-dry your strands every day. "You need to shampoo daily only if your hair is very oily," says Boston hairstylist Mario Russo. To make sure your style lasts more than one day, brush it before you go to bed and don't wear any tight hair elastics or clips while sleeping.
