BMW will bring its ENTRY-level Formula BMW to the United States next year, modeling it after programs in Europe and Asia, as well as a recently announced series in England.
The series is a steppingstone for young go-kart racers looking to move into single-seat cars. BMW of North America is in negotiations with CART to potentially host races in conjunction with the sanctioning body in 2004. A full race schedule in the States and Canada will be announced and might include the 2004 United States Grand Prix.
