The Siemens Information and Communication Mobile Group - for short Siemens mobile (NYSE:SI)(FWB:SIE)- will equip ADP Telecom with an additional wireless solution consisting of approximately 250 Wireless LAN access points in the Hotel Concorde La Fayette as well as an additional 450 access points in selected hotels of the Alliance Hospitality Group. Further Wireless LAN coverage will be provided at the airports Charles de Gaulle and Orly. Siemens mobile and ADP Telecom have already equipped France's congress center with the largest Wireless LAN network in April.
The wireless high-speed data transfer allows guests at the Hotel Concorde La Fayette to access Internet and corporate services via Wireless LAN technology since early September 2003. Another 37 Holiday Inn hotels represented by the Alliance Hospitality hotel group, will be equipped with the Siemens Wireless LAN technology by the end of the year.
Furthermore, Siemens mobile will be equipping additional terminals at Paris airports Charles de Gaulle and Orly with this technology. Hence, from the time they reach the check-in counter to the time they get on board, travelers will be able to access information and e-mail at any time and be connected to the Internet or their corporate Intranet. Access to the Wireless LAN networks is provided by means of a prepaid card or via credit card.
