Radware Ltd. returned to profitability last year after two straight years of red ink. Now the firm looks to maintain financial strength by carving out a niche among larger rivals.
Radware makes products designed to manage traffic on the Internet, improve network efficiency and reduce downtime.
That means cutting the time it takes to download information. It also means routing traffic to prevent bottlenecks. and letting customers look deep into their data to reduce the risk of virus attacks.
A slumping market was the main culprit in Radware's 2001 and 2002 losses.
But Chief Financial Officer Meir Moshe says there are signs of life in his sector.
"There is a new trend, which started in May with an increase in activity," he said. "The average size of a deal is up, but it hasn't resulted in sales yet. Since it's a six-month selling cycle, the first milestone will be in November or December."
