BBC Magazines' new teen title, due to launch later this autumn, is to be called Dare.

The teenage lifestyle title will be published fortnightly from 22 October.

Preview issues will appear in Top of the Pops magazine on 7 October and It's Hot! on 14 October.

Dare, which targets ten- to 14-year-old girls, will be priced at pounds 1.60 with 68 pages and its launch will be backed by in-store promotions.
