Scorps go their separate ways, but many want to return.(Sports)

Some will continue playing hockey.

Some will stay in Albuquerque and find work.

Others are now unemployed and headed to Canada for the off-season.

With their hopes for a league championship doused by Wednesday's 5-0 season-ending loss to El Paso in the semifinals of the Western Professional Hockey League playoffs, the New Mexico Scorpions shift gears.

Defenseman Eric Ricard and forward Sly Naud have other hockey jobs lined up. Ricard left Albuquerque Thursday to join the Las Vegas Thunder of the International Hockey League. He was a late addition to the Thunder's playoff roster.

And Naud will also see some playoff time in the IHL. …
