Mourners bid Steve Schiff farewell amid a 21-gun salute, the playing of taps, a 'missing-man' flyover and a rabbi's words of comfort

A wind, too cold and bitter for the end of March, sliced through the towering junipers at Albuquerque's Fairview Memorial Park.

There, at the grave site of U.S. Rep. Steve Schiff, hundreds of mourners huddled Monday as they laid to rest a husband, a father, a brother, an uncle, a congressman, a patriot, a friend.

Rabbi Joseph Black spoke about how all flesh is grass. Grass withers, he said, and the flower fades.
