The University of New Mexico football team will return more experience at the receiver position than earlier anticipated after the reinstatement of two castoffs of the former coaching regime.
Lobo receivers Martinez Williams and Jimmy McGrew, who left the program under former coach Dennis Franchione, have been allowed to return by current head coach Rocky Long.
Both were back in camp as spring practice opened on Monday.
"We have an understanding," was the only comment from Long about the reinstatement of the two players. "That's a private matter between us."
