The University of New Mexico baseball team has yet to play a game, but already accolades are pouring in.

UNM outfielder Donny Sevieri has been chosen for the second team preseason all-freshman squad by Baseball America. Sevieri, a 1998 graduate of Eldorado High School, also was picked as the Western Athletic Conference's freshman of the year and top newcomer by the same magazine.

Second baseman Cory Robbins, a 1995 graduate of Eldorado, was named first-team all-WAC by Baseball America.
