Finding a parking space and a hotel room Downtown could soon get a lot easier.
Mayor Jim Baca has sent a proposal to the City Council that calls for a private developer to build a 500-space garage just off Central and sell it back to the city for $6.8 million. The city would pay for the garage with gross receipts tax bonds. And it would pay down the debt with parking fees, according to the proposal.
